Emergency Room Head:
- Provide leadership, planning, organization, staffing, coordination, and evaluation for Emergency Room activities
- Responsible for all medical administration, personnel, and activities in the Emergency Room
- Ensures the ethical practice of Emergency Medicine
- Contribute in hospital committees in the interests of Emergency Medicine
- To provide input in hospital disaster risk reduction
Emergency Room Officer:
-Triaging of emergent, urgent and non-urgent consults
- Target history and physical examination of all incoming patients
- Designates patients to appropriate medical specialties
- Document and monitor all patient dispositions
Medical Officer:
- Document, examine and treat all patients
- Ensure timely referrals to other departments
ER Nurse Supervisor:
- To be responsible for the management of nursing care service in the Emergency Room.
- To plan, organize and direct activities to provide maximum nursing care.
ER Head Nurse:
- The most senior nurse will be the charge nurse.
- To organize and coordinate nursing and direct patient care services.
- To make a notation of all available supplies during his tour of duty.
- To make sure that all areas have staff nurses assigned and to recall staff as needed.
- To notify the ERO of any changes in the status of supplies and manpower.
ER Staff:
- To assist the Emergency Room Officer in the initial evaluation of all patients
- To aid medical and surgical residents in the management of all cases
- To make rounds, monitor, endorse and document all patients assigned
- To ensure Emergency Room policies and protocols are followed Activities:
- Quarterly Earthquake Drill
- Bi-annual Fire Drill
- Bi-annual Mass Casualty Incident Drill
- Bi-annual Emergency Room Officer
